Washanna Crittendon, School to Work Coordinator

I was born and raised in Portland, Or. After gradating from high school, I decided to venture to the south for college. I attended and graduated from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University!  After receiving both undergrad & graduate degrees, I started my educational career teaching at Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Al. A year later, I embarked on my K-12 teaching career at a title I school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for several years.

I moved back to Portland in 2014 and begin teaching at local community colleges.  During this time, I also obtained my MAT in Secondary Education from Concordia University. In 2017, I started a new position here at CPS as their College & Career Coordinator. I absolutely LOVE my job! My passion has always been to educate & prepare students for success after high school! I started my teaching career in 2010 and haven’t looked back since!

Outside of school, I enjoy playing sports, collecting weird socks, and shoe shopping!
