I love being a teacher here at CPS and I feel that the relationships that I am able to make here will help in my endeavors to educate both myself and students in my classroom. The people are what make CPS a special place and I am lucky to count myself as one of them.
I spent the first part of my working experience in the restaurant business as a cook, sous chef, and butcher. I decided make a change and pursue another passion of mine which happened to be teaching others what I know. I graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History and then went on to get a Masters in Education from there as well. I am now a Culinary Arts and Social Studies teacher here at CPS.
Most, if not all of my drive and motivation stems from my wife and my two daughters and when I am not teaching I love to spend time traveling and exploring new places with them. I enjoy fishing, golfing, snowboarding, waterskiing, and touring wineries and breweries.
